Vivékánanda bol indický filozof, Bengálec, žiak Rámakrišnov.

Spopularizoval na Západe jeho učenie a védántu. Založil Vedanta Society v New Yorku . Pokúsil sa zblížiť idey ádvaity-védánty s výsledkami vedy. Obhajoval jediné náboženstvo, založené na védánte.

Precestoval Indiu, Európu i Ameriku, kde prednášal o joge.
