Robert Kelly Thomas je americký spevák, skladateľ, producent a multi-inštrumentalista známy hlavne ako spevák alternatívnej kapely Matchbox Twenty. Má za sebou aj úspešné sólové projekty, medzi ktoré patrí singel „Lonely No More“ , ktorý mu priniesol najväčší úspech v hudobnom rebríčku. Thomas má od roku 1999 tri ceny Grammy za nahrávku „Smooth“, ktorú vyprodukoval so skupinou Santana. Skladba vyšla na pätnásť-platinovom albume Supernatural.

Rob Thomas je aj úspešným skladateľom. Zložil piesne pre hudobníkov ako Willie Nelson, Mick Jagger, Marc Anthony, Pat Green, Taylor Hicks, Travis Tritt a skupinu Daughtry.

Od roku 1996 jeho skupina vydala sériu hitových singlov, medzi inými „Push“, „3AM“, „Real World“, „Back 2 Good“, „Bent“, „If You're Gone“, „Mad Season“, „Disease“, „Unwell“, „Bright Lights“, „How Far We've Come“ a „She's So Mean“. V roku 2004 Robovi Thomasovi udelili v Songwriters Hall of Fame cenu Hala Davida, ktorá sa dáva mladým skladateľom, ktorí už majú trvalý vplyv v hudobnom priemysle. Wikipedia
