Kristi Lynn Noem is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for South Dakota's at-large congressional district since 2011. A member of the Republican Party, she previously served in the South Dakota House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011. Noem successfully ran for the 2018 gubernatorial election and is the Governor-elect of South Dakota. Upon her accession to the governorship, she will be the first woman to hold the office.
