Kofi Atta Annan je ghanský politik, bývalý generálny tajomník OSN.

Do pozície generálneho tajomníka bol navrhnutý Bezpečnostnou radou OSN 13. decembra 1996, o štyri dni neskôr bol Valným zhromaždením OSN do funkcie potvrdený. Jeho prvé funkčné obdobie začalo 1. januára 1997. Druhé funkčné obdobie začalo 1. januára 2002.

V roku 2001 obdržali OSN a Annan Nobelovu cenu za mier za „prácu za lepšie organizovaný a mierovejší svet“. Roku 2003 Sacharovovu cenu za slobodné myslenie.

V rokoch 2004/05 bol kritizovaný za nedostatočný dohľad a pomalú reakciu na rozsiahly korupčný škandál v OSN pri jej programe „Ropa za potraviny“, započatého za jeho predchodcu Butrusa Butrusa-Ghálího.
