William Carlos Williams bol americký básnik a lekár – pediater. Ako básnik bol súčasťou amerického modernizmu a imagizmu.
V medicíne dosiahol vzdelanie na University of Pennsylvania a univerzite v Lipsku. Celý život vykonával poslanie lekára aj básnika. Bol vyznamenaný in memoriam Pulitzerovou cenou.
