„Vonkajší svet - podľa McKenna - sa v mysli rekonštruuje prostredníctvom prísunu najrôznejších vnemov. Vnímanie usmerňujú receptory, takže obraz vonkajšieho sveta sa k nám dostáva prinajmenšom po troch alebo štyroch zvláštnych líniách prísunu. Telo je rozhraním medzi mysľou a svetom, je ich styčnou plochou. Jazyk akoby bol kódom pre celé množstvo informácií, putujúcich z mysle do sveta a potom zasa naspäť zo sveta do mysle. Podobne je to vo vesmíre, o čom svedčí biológia: tie najčastejšie, prvotné formy života vlastne nijaké ZARIADENIE na vnímanie sveta nemali. Keď sa im na ceste objavila nejaká potrava, pohltili ju. Nič viac. Neskôr, s vývojom rudimentárnych očí a chemikálií citlivých na pigment, sústredených v istých bunkách, došlo k základnému rozlišovaniu medzi svetlom a tmou. Ešte neskôr sa objavili pohyblivé zvieratá a došlo k evolúcii komplikovaných očí a tak ďalej. Vidíte, že to, čo sa odohráva v biológii, je vlastne postupom výbojov do nových dimenzií reality. Keď ako extenziu biologickej evolúcie chápete celú civilizáciu, vidíte, že aj jej vývoj kráča smerom výboja do novej dimenzie. Špecificky ide o prenikanie do dimenzie času, kedy sme prostredníctvom vynálezu písmen, abecied, systémov jazyka a ústnych tradícií schopní kódovať a uchovávať nadobudnutú skúsenosť. Zdá sa, že sme sa ocitli v mieste, kedy už dokážeme kódovať priestor a čas, jednako len evolúcia dobývania priestoru prostredníctvom pohybu nám umožňuje mapovanie celého sveta. Civilizácia sa premieňa na hyperdimenziálnu bytosť, realizujúcu biologický program života. Nech ide v prípade tejto BYTOSTI o čokoľvek, sama sa prostredníctvom radu dimenzií transformuje a sama si pomáha pri prechode z jednej roviny do druhej. Môžete si všimnúť, že naša súčasná ľudská civilizácia pôsobí stále ešte tak dajako plocho, je skôr dvojrozmerná. Naša najvyššia budova na svete je len dajakých tisíc stôp vysoká a väčšina ostatných budov je vysokých len dajakých dvadsať stôp; pripravujeme sa však budovať vesmírne kolónie, kde už teória o tom, aká stavba je alebo nie je vysoká, nefunguje - budovou sa tak stáva náš svet.

Dnes môžeme kódovať a zaznamenávať v podstate čokoľvek chceme; neskôr si to zasa môžeme vyvolať a pripomenúť. Existuje akási syntéza toho všetkého, ktorá smeruje k objaveniu vnútornej dimenzie. Tú možno považovať za dimenziu vyššiu alebo nižšiu, ľudská predstavivosť však je rozmerom mimo priestoru a času a svojím spôsobom všetkým dimenziám predchádza. Na určitej úrovni má charakteristiku ukazovateľa smeru; preto všetko to hovorenie o objave hologramu, alebo práve hologram má povahu ukazovateľa smeru nového vedomia. Je v ňom zhustené a zakódované všetko zároveň. Hologram je šifrou vyššej dimenzie.“ Wikipedia
