Roger Scruton citáty

Roger Vernon Scruton bol britský filozof, spisovateľ a politológ, známy v Spojenom kráľovstve ako kľúčová postava „Novej Pravice“ v osemdesiatych a deväťdesiatych rokoch 20. storočia. Bol autorom viac ako 30 kníh, okrem iných Art and imagination , Sexual Desire a A Political Philosophy: Arguments For Conservatism . Napísal tiež viacero románov a libriet k operám.

Scruton bol učiteľ a profesor estetiky na Birkbeck College v Londýne v rokoch 1971 – 1992. V roku 1982 pomohol založiť Salisbury Review, konzervatívno-politický časopis, ktorý redigoval 18 rokov. Od roku 1992 bol zamestnaný na čiastočný úväzok na Boston University, na Institute for Psychological Sciences v Arlingtone, na American Enterprise Institute vo Washingtone D.C. a na University of St Andrews.
