Ralph Nader je americký právnik a politický aktivista. Okrem iného sa venoval problematike práv spotrebiteľa, feminizmu, humanitarizmu, environmentalizmu, a demokratickej vlády. Nader kritizoval americkú zahraničnú politiku v posledných desaťročiach, ktorú považuje za korporativistickú, imperialistickú a v protiklade k základným hodnotám demokracie a ľudských práv. Jeho aktivizmus hral významnú úlohu pri vytváraní mnohých vládnych ako aj nevládnych organizácií.

V zozname 100 najvýznamnejších Američanov časopisu Atlantic Monthly vydanom v decembri 2006 patrí Naderovi 96. miesto.Nader kandidoval na prezidenta Spojených štátov trikrát . Vo voľbách v rokoch 1996 a 2000 ho nominovala Strana zelených , kandidátkou na miesto viceprezidentky bola Winona LaDuke. V roku 2004 kandidoval ako nezávislý s predstaviteľom zelených Petrom Miguelom Camejom ako kandidátom na viceprezidenta.

24. februára 2008 zverejnil, že sa zúčastni ako nezávislý kandidát prezidentských volieb 2008. Wikipedia
