Nora Ephronová bola americká novinárka, esejistka, filmová scenáristka, režisérka a producentka, ktorá sa preslávila svojimi scenármi romantických komédií za ktoré bola celkom trikrát nominovaná na cenu Americkej akadémie filmového umenia a vied Oscar.

Pochádzala z umeleckej rodiny, obaja jej rodičia, otec Henry Ephron a matka Phoebe Ephronová, boli scenáristi a dramatici. Scenáristike, žurnalistike a spisovateľskej činnosti sa venovali aj jej sestry Delia Ephronová a Hallie Ephronová.

Po štúdiách na Wellesley College pracovala ako novinárka a spisovateľka, prispievala celkom pravidelne do novín New York Post a časopisov Esquire, New York Times Magazine a New York Magazine. Wikipedia
