Mikuláš Kuzánsky , pôvodným menom Nikolaus Chrypffs alebo Khryppfs, Nikolaus de Cusa alebo Cusanus, bol nemecký filozof, ktorý stál na hraniciach medzi scholastikou a humanizmom , teológ, cirkevný politik, tvorca tzv. funkcionalistickej ontológie.

Vychádzal z platonizmu a novoplatonizmu, bol ovplyvnený mystikou , neskorostredovekou devotio moderna a nominalizmom .

Mikuláš Kuzánsky bol kardinál.

Mikuláš Kuzánsky sa snažil filozoficky vymedziť okruh ľudského vedenia ako „vedenie nevedenia“ a rozšíriť jeho možnosti na základe „princípu zhody protikladov“ , ktorý vo vlastnom zmysle môže byť iba v Bohu. Predznamenával vývoj renesančnej filozofie.

Nadväzuje na novoplatonikov. Základ je Jedno – zdroj sveta, večné,nekonečné,dáva svetu zmysel a vydeľuje z neho všetko iné. Mnohé – všetky existencie.

Teória učenej nevedomosti: čím sme učenejší, tým menej vlastne vieme. Boha vníma ako princíp – panteizmus. Wikipedia
