Narodil sa v Brooklyne ako syn prisťahovalcov z Haiti a Portorika. Začínal ako graffista a štýl graffiti preniesol aj do svojich obrazov, v ktorých kombinoval štetcovú maľbu a sprej. Často aplikoval nápisy a naivné obrázky v detskom štýle.
