Igor Vsevolodovič Girkin tiež známy ako Igor Ivanovič Strelkov je bývalý príslušník FSB , účastník bojov na východnej Ukrajine, v roku 2014 pôsobil ako veliteľ vojsk pro-ruských separatistov na Donbase.

Niekoľko mesiacov viedol povstalcov počas bojov pri meste Sloviansk. Po ústupe viedol sily pro-ruských ľudových milícií v Donecku. Od 12. mája do 14. augusta 2014 bol veliteľom ozbrojených síl Doneckej ľudovej republiky , od 16. mája do 14. augusta – minister obrany DĽR.

Je mu pripisovaná spoluzodpovednosť za zostrelenie malajzijského dopravného lietadla v auguste 2014 nad Donbasom. Ukrajinské úrady a viaceré ľudskoprávne organizácie ho obviňujú z vojnových zločinov, ktoré spáchal počas svojho angažovania v konflikte na východe Ukrajiny.Po odchode z postu ministra obrany opustil územie Donbasu. Je verejne aktívny, často na sociálnych sieťach komentuje dianie na rusko-ukrajinskom fronte. Wikipedia
