Erich Ludendorff citáty

Erich Ludendorff bol pruský a nemecký generál, politik. Bol faktickým vojenským veliteľom porazenej nemeckej armády v prvej svetovej vojne. Po vojne bol šíriteľom aj predstaviteľom mýtu o tom, že Nemecko prehralo vojnu len preto, že ho zradili republikáni a marxisti. Bol odporocom Versaillskej zmluvy a preto sa aj stal predstaviteľom nacionalistickej pravice a zúčastnil na neúspešných pučoch v rokoch 1920 a 1923. Od roku 1924 bol poslancom v parlamente a najvyššie postavenie dosiahol po prevzatí moci Hitlerom. V roku 1935 napísal knihu Der Totale Krieg , ktorú ako frázu využila nacistická propaganda. Ku koncu života bol pod vplyvom svojej druhej manželky Mathilde politicky bezvýznamný, ale oslavovaný a v roku 1937 mu Adolf Hitler vystrojil veľkolepý štátny pohreb. Wikipedia

In an attempt to regain Ludendorff's favor, Hitler paid Ludendorff an unannounced visit in 1935 and offered to make him a field marshal. Infuriated, Ludendorff thundered back with this statement.
