Paul David Hewson , viac známy pod umeleckým menom Bono Vox alebo skrátene Bono, je írsky spevák, hudobník, investor s rizikovým kapitálom, biznismen a aktivista. Je známy ako frontman, hlavný spevák a textár Dublinskej rockovej skupiny U2. Bono sa narodil a vyrastal v Dubline a navštevoval Mount Temple Comprehensive School, kde stretol svoju budúcu manželku Alison Stewart, a tiež ďalších členov skupiny U2. Bono je textárom takmer všetkých piesní skupiny U2, pričom sa zameriava na náboženské, sociálne a politické témy. V začiatkoch skupiny U2 jeho texty prispievali k jeho odbojnému a duchovnému hlasu. Ako sa skupina vyvíjala, jeho texty začali viac odrážať osobné skúsenosti, ktoré zdieľal s ostatnými členmi skupiny U2.Mimo skupiny U2 spolupracoval s mnohými ďalšími interpretmi, je manažérom Elevation Partners a s gitaristom The Edge renovoval a v súčasnosti je majiteľom hotela The Clarence Horel v Dubline. Bono je tiež veľmi známy ako aktivista zameriavajúci sa na Afriku, pre ktorú vytvoril organizácie DATA, EDUN, ONE Campaign a Product Red. Takisto zorganizoval a hral na mnohých benefičných koncertoch, a mal stretnutia s vplyvnými politikmi. Bono je chválený a zároveň aj kritizovaný pre svoje aktivity, do ktorých zapája aj skupinu U2. Bol nominovaný na Nobelovu cenu za mier, získal rytiersky rád Spojeného kráľovstva od Kráľovnej Alžbety II. a v roku 2005 sa spoločne s Billom a Melindou Gates dostal do zoznamu Person of the Year časopisu Time.
